Names of God K-5th Study

When you want to get to know someone, where do you start? How do you introduce yourself? You usually start with someone’s name. God knows this—and He doesn’t have just one name to share with us! The Bible gives us many names for God and tells us what they all mean. When we learn a new name for God, we learn something new about Him and His character. God has left His names with His people so we can know Him and trust His name. He is worthy of our love and praise!

Much of the content for this series is found in the book "God's Names" by Sally Michael. While written as a family devotional, it has some great ideas for communicating Biblical truths about the character and nature of God to kids. I highly recommend reading the introduction before diving into lesson prep.
Each study has some resources for you to help as you prepare your lesson & activities. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to help you as you prepare. Feel free to borrow & use these resources as you find them helpful. Please let me know if you need any materials or supplies—or have any questions about the study.

One component to continue is reviewing the Proverbs 3 memory verse song with the kids. We'd love to have the kids continue to work on memorizing the scripture & actions to be prepared to share with the fellowship sometime this fall.
