The Model Prayer
What is prayer?
Why do we pray? And how do we pray?
What should we pray about? Is it important?
For the next three weeks, we'll be talking about prayer and the importance of spending time with God in the K-5th class. This 3-part series from Calvary Curriculum will walk kids through Jesus’ practical instructions on prayer & fellowship with the Father. Through this study, you and the children will hopefully be encouraged in the glorious privilege to come to the Lord through prayer and enjoy a deeper fellowship with Him.
Each week has a resource to help you prepare: a message about a particular aspect in spending time with the Lord and an accompanying transcript (if you'd like review for main points). Each week also focuses in on a scripture passage that builds on the week before. If you are able, I recommend reviewing and previewing the other week's message so you are familiar with what was covered.
Be lead by the Spirit as you prepare! My hope is that you are blessing the kids with a heart that is filled and overflowing from what the Lord teaches you though the scripture and the message. Please don't feel obliged to merely repeat what you've heard. I'm confident that the Lord will speak to you as you meet with Him and through you as you lead your class in studying His word.
